Masterclass Strategy Consulting 2016

On Saturday 22 October PCDI organised a masterclass with Gupta Strategists especially for the PCDI network. In a full-day progrramme selected participants learnt the ins and outs of working for Gupta Strategists. By working on real cases they were offered a taste of the kind of challenge that consultancy offers PhD graduates.

In a forest in the surroundings of Eindhoven, the 14th edition of the PCDI Postdoc Retreat took place from 28 - 30 October 2015. Three days away from work, a group of PhD and postdoc researchers with a background in STEM dedicated precious time to their professional and career development. A full programme with lectures, workshop sessions and networking inspired them to take the lead to build their future


Life Sciences Talent Cafe - June 2013


What positions do PhDs fulfil outside academia? On Thursday 13 June 2013 PCDI and AEB invited representatives from DDF Services (consultancy), Sanquin Blood Supply andBioceros (preclinical development of protein products) to the Life Sciences Talent Cafe. These organisations were asked to present an overview of their core activities in the Netherlands and career paths for PhDs.

Turn your talent into a career

Organised far away from work, in a forest in the surroundings of Eindhoven, the 13th edition of the PCDI Postdoc Retreat was again a success. From 25 - 27 March 2015postdocs and final year PhD students in the Life Sciences met each other here to dedicate time to their personal and professional development and career questions. A full programme with lectures, workshops and discussions challenged them to turn their talent into a career. 


PCDI contribution to Marie Curie BrainTrain

BrainTrain_oct12_TriesteAt the beginning of October 2012, PCDI was invited to contribute to the meeting of the Marie Curie Initial Training Network 'BrainTrain' in Trieste (Italy).


Plantum Matchmaking Day

Thursday 9 October 2014 PCDI and Plantum - the Dutch association for the plant reproduction material sector - organised an interactive Matchmaking Day for early career researchers to find out what challenges this sector can offer to PhDs with a background in (biomedical) Life Sciences.
